After a round
of practice/qualifying sessions Saturday – the afternoon was set aside for
the traditional Porsche Club of America Race Car Concurs on the Pit Lane at
Daytona. You will notice several of
the cars on display were not ‘Vintage Racers’ with the Penske Porsche Spider
on display along with a couple of Porsche Powered Daytona Prototypes. The VW Buses
at the bottom were not on the |

engine unfortunately never raced in Can-Am.
Did not see the track at Rennsport.
We did learn that Chassis -003 an ex-Donohue car is for sale, but it
needs restoration. Asking price:

Chassis 917/30-006 this is the “Spare Parts” car

While walking
around we found this Street Porsche 962 sitting in one of the garages. Comes with AC, AM/FM/CD, Tilt Wheel, Custom
Dash and seats. Notice the tail lights
and license plate mount with light. We
didn’t see a price but would imagine that if we had to ask we couldn’t afford
it. |
